Airport security is important because it keeps the passenger at ease while flying. It assures that the airplane will make it to the destination safely and the person sitting beside has been deemed as a safe flyer. The four threats are those from insiders; aviation cyber-security; security on the ground; and conflict zones. Aviation remains a target. The threat from insiders is increasing and a real challenge.
