Constitution of  International Council of Security and Safety Management

The Executive Council: 

 

  • There shall be total seven members of executive council having equal rights to vote excepting the Chairman who will not vote normally, but shall reserve the right to cast his vote only in case of tie in voting.  Thus, the Chairman will exercise his rights to vote only when there is a tie when decisions are required to be taken by voting.

  • All the decisions of the ‘Council’ will be by majority opinion thus avoiding arbitrary and unilateral decision in all circumstances.  As practice and precaution, the Chairman will give his opinion/cast his vote at the last, remaining Councilors having no particular order of seniority. 

  • There shall be two “Line of command” in the hierarchy of the Executive Council i.e. one from Executive President and other from ‘Executive Chairman’ in which first one is in “Executive function or line function” and other one is in Advisory or Staff function.

  • Those councilors in Executive Function will be nominated by the “Core Council” hereinafter referred as CC, which consists of seven founder members who have initially founded the council and shall have right to fill up by mutual consent the vacant positions so arising in CC due to demise/separation of any of the founder “core council”.

  • Those councilors in staff functions i.e. Executive Chairman and down below will be elected by the electorate consisting of existing councilors and members of the ‘Council’ in ‘good standing’ present in the Annual General Meeting / General Body Meeting.

  • Being in ‘Good Standing’ refers to those members who have paid their membership fees of the Year or are the paid delegates of the seminars during which Elections and ‘Annual General Meetings’ are to be held.

Why join ICISSM:

 

There is no membership fees presently charged to become member of ICISS. All what is needed is a bio data with contact details and recent picture (preferably in JPEG format max. up to 2MP). From members there are no expectations other than helping us in spreading the knowledge, sharing experience and helping us in increasing our base i.e. by sending the e-mails IDs of the security professionals in your area of influence in your country.

 

As Security Professional, you might wonder here as to what ICISS get out of this – pure satisfaction of repaying in kind to the profession which has given us name, fame and money! You may notice that all involved in ICISS are working professionals. ICISS is purely non-commercial forum without any support from any business groups or projected by any business house in the background. All its members have no stake in any solution providing or consultancy firms. Their association with ICISS is totally based on mutual benefit of knowledge sharing and networking.

 

We welcome all the security and safety professional world over from diverse background and encourage them to interact freely by asking the questions, replying them or by sharing their knowledge and experience. The council also strives to have strategic alliances with similar forums world over for furtherance of its objectives.

 

Formed in 2010, the Council is totally aprtisan, apolitical and does not represent any pressure group or interest group. We strive not to provide surrogate platform for anyone to enhance their respective business interests. It is thus totally professionals’ body aimed at, ‘professionalizing the professionals’! Your next question might be as to what you get out of it as its member? Not much we guess, besides being associated with a ‘true blue’ security professionals’ forum where not only you professionally will be benefitted, the profession itself will be benefitted by your active support and contribution.

 

Your bio-data and picture  will be for the benefit of members of ICISSM for networking purpose only so that they know about your stature and past and present professional positions and achievements. Your articles in the monthly newsletters of ICISS with your picture and bio-profile will go to 7000 security and safety professionals world over and give instant exposure in the fraternity.

 

In addition, you can handle following core activities in your area –

 

• Consultancy

• On-site Security Survey and Audits

• Contents Delivery

 

All above activities will off-course be purely optional and ICISS will never press you for such activities. Should you decide to undertake any or all these activities, we in ICISS will give all organizational support including use of ICISS name and logo. However we will not be involved in any kind of commercial / financial dealings between you and your customers and as such will share no role and responsibility. It is expected that high level of discretion and professional ethics will be displayed during such relationship and ICISS name and logo used will in no case make it responsible for third party liabilities.
