Long associated with the  Council as the founder Member and Executive President, he has very rich and diverse operational experience from Army, CAPF and MNC Corporates. His vast industrial experience coupled with that of Health, safety and environment brings immense value to the Council.

He is highly experienced (29 years’ service in Indian Army and 11 years in corporate sector) with proven skills in managing Safety and security issues of establishments, managing large human resource deployments, logistics & mobility.

 

High level of dedication to duty and exemplary performance in Army career has been repeatedly recognized by the superiors and he is one of very few officers who got Commendations from Chief of the Army Staff three times in the career. In addition he got one Commendation Card from Army Commander. These commendations were for showing bravery and valor in the face of terrorists’ attack, for outstanding dedication to services and for being example to others in Army and for outstanding contribution for re-forestation and for restoring ecology in the mining areas in and around Delhi.  

 

Col. Semwal has experience & passion for protection of ecology & environment. He changed the face of Delhi in Bhati Mines Area while he was commanding Eco-Battalion of Territorial Army in Delhi and turned it into lush green area!

 

He was successful in restoration of mining land by afforestation activities in coordination with Deptt of Environment, Government of Delhi. He has vast experience and knowledge in Industrial Security and Safety in combination with expertise related to Environment and Ecology. Presently he is Senior Vice President (Health, Safety, Environment & Security) at Terre Armée |  Freyssinet.
